WWII British RAF WAAF Women's Auxiliary Air Force Service Cap. The cap is roughly a size 7 and is named to a Howie. The cap is in great condition, showing little wear and use; all around great cap.
History: Established in 1939, it peaked at over 180,000 personnel in 1943, freeing up men for front-line combat by taking over essential ground duties like radar operation, transport driving, and codebreaking. However, they didn't serve in front-line military roles or combat roles. Some did, however, serve as pilots transporting aircraft from factories to air bases.
