About our company

Mello Oddities and Antiques was originally founded in 2016 when I was shopping at the Golden West Swap Meet and purchased my first-ever antique, this being a non-functioning Arisaka Type 38 rifle for 50 bucks. I had to convince my dad to let me get it and then find a way to hide it as I walked it back home, roughly 1 mile from the swap meet. 

I began to collect more and more and eventually ran into my Mentor Bob Chatt, owner of Vintage Productions. He introduced me to the small military show of Bellflower, which became the first show we ever sold at. I continued to sell and collect up into my Junior year of high school, and from there, I put the hobby to the side, graduated high school, and then attended and graduated from CSULB with a bachelor's degree in history and picked up a job as an archaeologist. 

I decided to reopen the store full time in July of 2025. We have been growing and expanding the business, with us now having a 3000 Sq Ft warehouse/showroom in Huntington Beach, an eBay store, and our website. We thank everyone who helped us get here, along with all of those who make purchases and shop with us, as every sale helps us get more quality merch and expand the business.
