History: During the Vietnam War, it was common for both enlisted men and officers to get gear and uniforms custom tailored by "In Country" local shops. Popular spots to stop for these items were Saigon, Da Nang, and Bangkok. These shops would make custom wares, specialty and/or custom alterations to issued uniforms, and even make custom camouflage uniforms such as the infamous tiger stripe pattern. These local markets proved to be quite useful both for these alteratiosn on top of supplying troops with other custom souvenirs.
