WWII German StuG Artillery Assault Wrap. This style of wrap was worn by army artillery assault gun crews throughout the war and came in a variety of variations. The specific example is made out of wool and is sporting a pair of late-war collar tabs and an early Army eagle. This combination of material, insignia, and hasty rough construction marks this as a “last-ditch” style of wrap, as Germany was scrambling to produce war materials and had to use anything they could find. Has nice stamping as seen with the HV.5 and maker's stamp on the other side. Condition-wise, it is excellent, sporting all buttons. The inner collar shows a great bit of wear, indicating heavy use during wartime, and all the insignia are clean and clearly visible. It’s an overall amazing piece with a rich history and story to tell.
